MYOPIA

There is myopia when the image is focused in front of the retina.  The vision is poor at a distance but good at near. Eyestrain may result. The evolution of myopia stabilizes usually between 20 and 25 years of age.

Optical correction is made with a lens which pre-diverges the light rays and focuses the image on the retina.
