Like many practices, you probably dispense a large number of reading
spectacles to customers in their forties and beyond who are
reluctant to switch to multifocal lenses.
The reality is that most of these people at some stage will need
also a mid-vision correction, now or in the coming years.
But unfortunately, near to mid-vision lenses are often overlooked
in favour of limiting standard reading spectacles. Yet many of our
day-to-day activities are performed using our mid vision.

The near vision lenses allow to focus between 30 cm to 4
meters, for the most advance lenses the power can be exactly compute to meet the
needs of our patient.

Recognising and solving the problem
There are some obvious tell-tale signs that highlight the loss of
midvision.
Everyone has seen wearers who push their spectacles to the tip of
their nose, or up onto their forehead. These are signs that standard
single vision reading spectacles limit their vision to reading
distance or slightly beyond and they don’t solve their mid-distance
problem.

However, there is a very simple solution - the near vision lens -
the “advanced” single vision lens.
the near vision lens
offers the combined benefit of a near vision lens to an exact
prescription, combined with a mid-distance correction.
