Utilizing total aspheric lens design, and available in CR-39, Transitions 1.5 index gray, SuperLite™ 1.6, polycarbonate, white glass, and Corning Ophthalmic’s Thin&Dark™, Shamir’s Piccolo lens has one of the shortest corridors available at 11.5mm and minimum fitting height of 16mm. The Piccolo lens is designed utilizing Shamir Insight Inc.’s Eye Point-Technology® —a software and ray-tracing program that simulates the eye’s view through the lens at every angle and in each optical zone, optimizing the design for each add power and base curve.
