Progressive lenses Ysis
For the very first time, here is a truly progressive lens - a
varifocal - that takes into consideration not just every wearer’s
habits of vision but facial anatomy, posture and frame fitting.

The glasses will be delivered in an ysis-safe with your personal vision
profile!
Over time, human beings also change and evolve. No-one at 45-plus
feels or looks exactly the way we were at 20, or sees the world in exactly the
same way. Our capacities, our perspective and our priorities have altered. The
natural way of living we once took for granted is now something to seek and to
treasure. So is natural vision, a key element of life.

Paradoxically, natural
vision is one of today’s major technological challenges for optical designers.
Like evolution itself, natural vision requires a complex reconciliation of
different and disparate elements. This is the challenge Rupp+Hubrach have
mastered with ysis.

lenses made just for you - a luxury for your eyes only!
The ysis
profile
All personal data, taken
together, add up to your personal vision profile - the ysis profile.

Data on prescription values, the best lens progression to suit your needs, your
vision habits and your priorities are calculated just for you, blended with the
unique features of the ysis design.
The result: ysis - your personal, natural vision, lenses.
Following you can see two possible examples of an ysis profile:

Example 1:
Your patient is a
middle-aged woman, a low ametrope. ysis is not only her first choice of
progressive lens, but her first-ever pair of glasses! Her PD is 70 mm, her face
2 mm asymmetric. It is vital to check the position of her selected frame on the
nasal bridge, to ensure her comfortable. Factoring in these data, ysis can help
her read again at her naturally preferred distance. Ask her to demonstrate what
this used to be.

Example 2:
An older man, a
pensioner, has worn first bifocals, then progressive lenses, for 25 years. He
is hyperopic, PD 64 mm. His BVD is long:
16 mm. He uses eye movement rather than head tilt for reading. For maximum
comfort, his particular ysis lens design should take these established vision
habits into account, especially for near vision.
