Are Transitions V Lenses with ESP clear indoors?

Yes. In fact, all Transitions Lenses are as clear as regular hard-coated lenses inside.

What's different about activation and fade back of Transitions® V Lenses with ESP™?

They become as dark as sunglasses outside in sunlight - that's darker than previous higher index technology allowed. And the new ESP dye system fades back three times faster*. Like all Transitions Lenses, Transitions® V Lenses with ESP™ offer convenient protection, visual quality and visual comfort.

How well do Transitions® V Lenses with ESP™ protect against UV rays?

Like all Transitions Lenses, they block 100% of harmful UVA and UVB radiation. In fact, Transitions Lenses are the first to earn the American Optometric Association (AOA) Seal of Acceptance for UV Absorbers and Blockers.

Are Transitions V Lenses with ESP compatible with A/R and hard coatings?

Yes. Like all Transitions Lenses, Transitions® V Lenses with ESP™ are compatible with all major A/R coatings from all major manufacturers. A/R coatings reduce distracting glare. Transitions Lenses with an A/R coating transmit more light indoors, and become just as dark outdoors as Transitions Lenses without an A/R coating.

How do Transitions® V Lenses with ESP™ reduce glare?

Glare impairs vision. It happens when an object in the field of vision is brighter than the amount of light to which the eyes have adapted. As light conditions change, the level of tint adjusts to provide the right tint at the right time. Transitions V Lenses with ESP, when combined with A/R coatings, are the optimal way to protect your patients' eyes from the effects of glare. They are the optimal choice for everyday eyewear. In extreme conditions, some patients may want additional darkness.

Can Transitions® V Lenses with ESP™ improve contrast?

Yes, like all Transitions Lenses, Transitions® V Lenses with ESP™ enhance contrast. Contrast sensitivity is the ability to distinguish between an object and the viewing background. As light levels decrease, contrast also decreases. Transitions® V Lenses with ESP™ improve contrast and enhance visual quality. The lenses change as light conditions change, optimizing the quality of vision under various levels of light.

Can Transitions® V Lenses with ESP™ provide visual comfort?

Yes. Like all Transitions Lenses, Transitions® V Lenses with ESP™ minimize eye strain and eye fatigue for comfortable vision in any light condition.

Are Transitions® V Lenses with ESP™ suitable for children and special needs patients?
