Intercast Europe, S.r.l, a business of PPG Industries, is announcing the first U.S. lens manufacturer to distribute NXT® Rx sunlenses with Trivex® material during the International Vision Expo East trade show here today. X-Cel Optical Company is now offering this new premium product, which combines the optical clarity, impact resistance and comfortable, lightweight qualities of Trivex material with Intercast’s unique Light Management Technology, which offers the latest advances in color formulation and light filtration. This pairing provides an advanced sunwear solution for premium fashion and sport prescription eyewear needs. First introduced in late 2007 in Europe, NXT Rx sunlenses are currently available in three fixed tints and four photochromic colors, including mirror-coating options, all providing 100 percent UV protection.

NXT was first developed for the military as an advancement over polycarbonate. It is now finding its way into the world’s best optical labs where more complex Rx products can be processed cost effectively and successfully using this material. The advanced lens material has grown steadily as key industry leaders and sophisticated consumers recognize the features and benefits of this extraordinary product.

Sun Len Technologies (SLT) was formed in 2007 in response to the growing North American demand for Rx and Plano sun lenses made from revolutionary NXT lens substrates. SLT is an authorized North American distributor for NXT Performance Sun Lens products.

SLT carries the complete line of NXT products in inventory and is located just two miles from Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.  The SLT distribution facility is experienced in the processing of lens orders. The SLT staff understands the need for accurate and timely order processing.

The SLT distribution center has access to a full range of transport modes including UPS, FED EX, USPS, DHL and LTL truck transport.

SLT processes orders on a same day basis and provides customers with order confirmation, status and tracking at any point in the logistics process.
