Eyes on your wrist, thanks to the " Specs- Watch "

  Thanks to quality, high – technology materials, a Bienne City optician has developed a pair of eyeglasses which can be worn on the wrist with a watch.

They bend, they fold around your wrist like a watch. This new, unique eyeglass frame is presented by the designer-optician Yves-Louis Perret of Bienne in connection with the Basel World Watch, Clock and Jewellery Show, March 23 to 30, 2000

Thanks to titanium, an intelligent, " high-tech " transition metal whose molecules are capable of memorizing different positions, a pair of prescription eyeglasses or sunglasses can be adapted to the face or to the wrist. The advantage being that the frames conserve their correct shape from wrist to face.

Keep both your glasses and watch close at hand !

In concrete terms, the eyeglass frame has a flexible titanium bar in the center. The exterior of the frame can be decorated to suit different tastes and a small removable watch is designed to be placed between the two lenses. The unit is held on the wrist by a bracelet of quality material, chosen by the client and a specially adapted fastener. This new and unique invention is intended for those clients who infrequently wear their glasses on their face. No more ‘where did I put my glasses ?’ with Specs-Watch, they can keep glasses and watch in the same place, on their wrist.

For the well-to do client

Yves-Louis Perret is planning on decorating his " Specs-Watch " with solid gold and/or diamonds, as well as a deluxe quality watch for the well-to-do client. This new invention is just a part of the continuing Yves-Louis Perret tradition of creating eyeglasses which are veritable jewels of the jewel trade. The Bienne City optician has been made famous in the past by designing and creating the most eclectic spectacles. Among his notable creations are eyeglass frames for the singers Nana Mouskouri and Elton John as well as high performance glasses for the Swiss rower Roger Montandon.
