SOME ADVICE TO CHOOSE YOUR SPECTACLES
FACE MORPHOLOGY
The spectacles' choice is made with your face morphology in mind. For each face there
is, different possible frames to choose from, but we have a few face's elements to take
into account.
THE NOSE
It is of most importance to have a frame perfectly adjusted to your nose, and we must
be very careful to the following criteria:
- -------> Thin nose : You must have a narrow bridge .
- -------> Large nose : You must have lower and large bridge
- -------> Long nose : You must have lower bridge, narrow or large.
- --------> Short nose: You must have a higher bridge, narrow or
large.
Short nose ------------ Long nose
The eyebrows must have the same orientation as the upper rim of the
frame, or the rim must occludes the eyebrows.
The frames should not touch the cheeks, the pressure mark are not very nice, the mist
and the grease material will stain the lenses. With high cheeks, you must have a narrow
spectacles with a lower bridge.
The distance between both eyes is very important to choose the size of the frame. The
eyes must look as central as possible in the lenses.
THE SHAPE OF THE FACE
We can classify the faces in for main shapes : OVAL, LONG, ROUND, SQUARE. Depending on
which morphology we have, we can have two ways to handel the case, either reinforced the
lines of the face or on the contrary do the reverse. Here play a lot of different
considerations, the fashion, your personality, and the look you need or you wish to have,
