The first "designer collection" in the French speaking part of Switzerland:

Didier Voirol is an optician and artist from the Jura canton in Switzerland. He exposes his art in the best hotels and restaurants in Switzerland as well as in Japan, France and Great Britain. Being confident about his optical and artistic skills, he takes up a big challenge of creating an original collection of glasses based on the diversity of Switzerland's heritage. The result is an ergonomic pair of glasses, with artfully cut temples that refer to the specific characteristics of the different Switzerland's regions.

Thanks to a new technology's breathtaking precision his art experiences a new dimension: the combination of design and elegance for the highest comfort for all glasses wearers in their daily lives.

Didier Voirol, while combining his 25 years optical experience with his 10 years artistic passion, shows in this project his own evolution as an artist and designer to the public formally.

Why Metalartconcept?

Metal Art: corresponds to the material that Didier Voirol has been working with for over 10 years now: stainless steel. He forges, bends and welds together whatever he can find in order to create his art pieces and has now decided to dedicate his artistic technique to his original profession: optician.

Concept: this is divided into 4 groups:

• Swiss inspiration: represents characteristics of the Swiss regions and cities
• Swiss ethno inspiration: represents Swiss ethnic customs and identities
• World City inspiration: represents aerial photographs of the world cities
• World economy inspiration: represents fluctuations of the market index
