Anemometers measure wind speed and direction. Measuring is carried out in kilometers per hour (kmh), miles per hour (mph), meters per second (ms) or in Beaufort. The anemometer can be held in the hand or fixed on a digital screen stand. It also measures gust speed and wind temperature.
