Proclear Compatibles ® are monthly soft contact lenses which correct all the most common visual defects such as myopia, hypermetropia and astigmatism, and are produced by Hydron with PC ® technology. From a survey carried out in lhe USA by the review Optometry and Vision Science, it emerges that as many as 60% of contact lens users complain of discomfort when wearing lenses. This is a complaint which is generally linked to a feeling of dryness, itching or rubbing.

 

Proclear Compatibles ® lenses guarantee a high level of comfort which does not decrease with the passing of time. This bio-compatibility is due to the exclusive technology of the lens material: PC technology which enables the lenses to be undetected by the eyes as an extraneous body. PC stands for Phosphorolcoline: the substance which is naturally present in the membrane of the human cells responsible for bio- compatibility which makes it possible to 'recognize' the cell of the organism as a inherent part of itself, thus preventing it from being rejected.

 

 PC technology has synthetically reproduced this substance and has thus made it possible to create materials which the human body does not reject. It was in fact first used in the construction of artificial heart valves. Now used in the new lenses, the technology ensures the same extraordinary bio-compatibility between lens and eyes. The result is comfort which will enable a lasting increase in wear ability.
