 The daily use contact lenses:

Is the lens which have less possibility of balancing the physiological elements of lachrymal film. The solution "daily software" answers in its basic components. Moreover, it comprises specific components intended to neutralize the residual substances with oxidants radicals of the contact lens material. This solution is recommended for the washing and the conditioning of the contact lenses before their installation or directly in the eye. For example, of monthly lenses, the harmful residues are neutralized after a certain time of wear, this important process cannot be achieved sufficiently in the case of a daily lens, since it is renewed every day. It is clear that this balancing process must be done before the installation of the lenses. Another possibility consists in pouring the solution directly on the lens in place. It is in this direction that "daily software" was conceived. Consequently, the solution is recommended for the rinsing of the daily lenses before the installation or to keep them wet during the night.

The eye and the contact lenses are since decades a subject of controversies, which put in glance for one side the comfort and mobility and on the other end  the risks that imply short or long term lens wear and their handling.

 

Reflexions on the development of "daily soft"

We operated a new definition of the fundamental components of the wetting solutions, starting from discovered cellular biology. This is why we developed, to face the particular biochemical stress who can result from the use of daily contact lenses, a solution which, even under adverse conditions, creates between the contact lenses and the lachrymal film a medium respecting the tissues.

 

Problems of the free radicals in the daily contact lenses.

The contact lenses are manufactured by polymerization from reactive elements, like ester. This technique always lets small remain of free reactive elements in the matrix of the lens. Those have the potential to create in the day light the radicals which, then generating chemical reactions with the cornea cells, this can cause inflammatory processes on the eye In the case of monthly or annual lenses, the reactive elements are eliminated in the  care solution. In what does reside the versatility of the "universal Solution"?

It cleans:
The formula of the solution, which is characterized by a complete inoccuity towards the cornea, contains as components cleaning derived from ultra-soft glucids. These substances eliminate with care and in a durable way the residues of proteins, mucines and lipids deposited by lachrymal film on the surface of the lens
As preservatives a solution without heavy metals to get read of the  micro-organisms during the night.

It moistens:
The solution contains a particular combination of moistening agents in polymeric form which moisten the lens during wearing and soaking time. They thus reduce the continuous deposit of foreign bodies coming from lachrymal film and facilitate the process of cleaning. Consequently, the superficial structure of the lens is better protected.

It rinses and preserves:
The "universal Solution" Contopharma preserves the superficial structure and the matrix of the lens. Cleaning, disinfection and moistening occur during the rinsing and the conservation.

Product Detail Information

Use Sensitive Eyes® Saline Solution for rinsing after daily cleaning, as a final rinse after disinfection, and prior to lens insertion. It can also be used to dilute enzyme tablets for protein removal and for storing lenses during thermal disinfection.

Sensitive Eyes® saline solution is a preserved, thimerosal-free saline solution for people with sensitive eyes.

 

POLYRINSE® Contact lens solution

 

COMPOSITION:
Sodium Chloride 0,9 g Purified water to 100 mL

PHARMACOLOGICAL CLASSIFICATION:
A. 34. Contact lens preparations.

PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION:
POLYRINSE® is a sterile unpreserved, unbuffered, isotonic saline solution compatible with ocular fluids.

INDICATIONS:
Rinsing and soaking of all types of contact lenses.

 

 

DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

• 1)Twist off cap.

• 2)Use as directed where a sterile unpreserved saline solution is required to prepare a disinfecting solution or where a rinsing solution is required for contact lenses before wear.

• 3)Discard each bottle after use.

SIDE-EFFECTS AND SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS:

• No finality has been reached on the long term safety of soft contact lens preparations.

• Not for injection.

• Never store and re-use a solution which has already been used.

• The lens cases which have been used must be kept very clean.

IDENTIFICATION:
A clear, colourless solution.

PRESENTATION:
Supplied in plastic bottles with twist-off caps, containing 15 mL of a unit-dose solution.

STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS:
Store at room temperature below 25°C.

  Dosage: Always wash and dry your hands thoroughly before handling your contact lenses.

Rinsing After cleaning and disinfecting, rinse your lenses thoroughly with LENS PLUS PURITE Saline Solution prior to insertion.

Heat Disinfection Fill the lens case as directed with fresh LENS PLUS PURITE Saline Solution. Heat in the lens disinfection unit in accordance with the manufacturer's instruction.

Dissolving Protein Remover Tablets Follow the manufacturer's instructions to use protein remover tablets correctly.

Active Ingredients: Sodium chloride 0.85% with PURITE 0.005% as a preservative.

Warning: * Do not use this product for cold disinfection. * Do not use if allergic to any of the ingredients. * If eye irritation occurs, discontinue lens wear and consult you contact lens practitioner. * Always use fresh solution. * To avoid contamination, do not touch dropper tip of the container on any surface. * Do not use after the expiry date. * Close the bottle tightly immediately after use. * Store at 25C. Protect from light. * Discard any remaining solution within 90 days after first opening the bottle.
